Antibiotics and drink: Fresh on my own in college, I incurred a distressing urinary tract infection. The doctor instantly identified it as an STD, not withstanding my protests to the impossibility of such. It turned out it was only a virus with manifestation like a runny nose. Banning red solo cups at universities to discourage drinking is one of the dumbest things I have heard. Because you obviously can't drink alcohol out of any other container. And although wearing a helmet while riding a bike is safe and smart, riding a bike at all is STUPID! A helmet won't stop you from breaking your neck, or other limbs, or sustaining other injuries when you fly off the bike at high speeds after a crash. I know WAY too many people who died in motorcycle accidents, including family members. It's some stupid statistic like 1 in 8 motorcycle accidents is fatal and 1 in 2 or HALF of all motorcyclist will experience some form of accident or crash during their lives if riding regularly. Yeah motorcycles are cool and fun, but extremely dangerous and should absolutely NOT be used as a primary means of daily transportation and reserved only for closed courses for recreation only. EDIT: There are many different kinds of bankruptcy. Not all mean the end of the business. Sometimes the company runs out of reserve money and cannot afford extra expenses but can still spend enough from revenue to stay open. Other forms of bankruptcy mean the company owes WAY more money than they can afford and have to sell themselves to settle debts. This often means serious company reform and giving up leadership and business models to another company. My friend worked for some cyber security company that went bankrupt and didn't notice a single change except he got a pay *raise*. Yeah the new company mandated a $1 per hour raise to all computer techs working for the company. Nobody he knew left or got fired and business went on as usual. However, sometimes a company goes bankrupt and just closes down and disappears completely. In order to stay open, another company has to be willing to invest money into buying that company. Sometimes nobody is willing to do that and the company is just gone forever. A&P is a great example where the company did not sell and shut down completely. All stores closed and all employees and executives were fired and the company disappeared.

(FIBRE) Even if we had 10gbit 90% of the world lives either equator or northern hemisphere and so distances and ping are lower from East Coast US to the UK would be like 80ms where its 300+ms to UK 180 to LA etc.

In the early 1900s smoking was considered perfectly safe. In fact my grandmother was advised to start in order to help alleviate the detrimental physical effects of pregnancy. It's only relatively recently we discovered the dangers of smoking, so who's to say what we will find is dangerous in 50 years that we believe is safe today.
